Patrick de Dunbar, earl of March grants and confirms to God, the church of Blessed Mary of Dryburgh and the canons serving God there, all the grants and alms given and granted to them by his ancestors, earls of March. The charter is dated at 'Buchelm' on the Wednesday, the vigil of St Thomas the apostle in 1290.

Omnibus hoc scriptum etc. Patricius de Dumbar comes Marchie salutem in Domino sempiternam . Noveritis me {. . .} concessisse et hoc presenti scripto meo confirmasse Deo et ecclesie beate Marie de Driburgh et canonicis ibidem Deo servientibus et inperpetuum servituris omnes donationes et elemosinas ipsis datas et concessas ab antecessoribus meis comitibus de Marchia {. . .} Data apud Buchelm die Mercurij in vigilia sancti Thome apostoli anno gratie millesimo ducentesimo nonagesimo .
