Robert de Roxburgh grants to God, Blessed Mary of Dryburgh and the canons serving God there, for the salvation of King Alexander and for the soul of his uncle Robert de London etc, that rent of Lessuden which the canons received from the gift of Robert de London his uncle, namely 3 s of silver, saving his hospitality and a pound of pepper to be paid to him and his heirs yearly.

Noverit universitas vestra me dedisse concessisse et hac carta mea confirmasse Deo et beate Marie de Driburgh et canonicis ibidem Deo servientibus pro salute regis Alexandri et pro anima Roberti de Londonia avunculi mei {. . .} redditum illum de Lessedewyn quem consecuti sunt dicti canonici ex dono Roberti de Londonia avunculi mei videlicet tres solidos argenti salvo hospitio meo et salva michi una libra piperis solvenda michi et heredibus meis singulis annis {. . .}
