Agreement reached whereby the abbot and convent of Holyrood will give yearly one besant (coin) or 2 s at the feast of St Martin for lighting in the church of St Cuthbert of Hailes. Thus the controversy between the churches of St Cuthbert of Hailes and St Cuthbert under the castle of Edinburgh will cease.
