dedication text (summary) dedication text (verbatim)Richard de Leicester, burgess of Perth, for the salvation of his soul, grants to God, St Mary, the church of St Michael of Scone, and the canons serving God there, a booth in the town of Perth which sits on the corner of the great north street of Perth and the street which goes west towards the church of St John the Baptist. In return they are to supply a candle for the lights of the altar of St Mary in the church of St John of Perth and, whatever is left over from the ferme of the said both, is to be spent on lighting the altar of St Mary in the church of Scone.
