Simon of Lenna, burgess of Perth, with consent of his wife, Cecilia, and his son and heir, John, has sold his land in the Watergate of Perth, which he holds of the abbot of Lindores in free burgage, to Christian de Insula. In return he (Christian) has to pay annually to the monastery of Lindores one pound of pepper at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and to make the necessary service to the king.
