Walter de Melville, burgess of Aberdeen, with consent of his wife, Sybilla, grants to the Trinitarians of Aberdeen all of the lands and annual rents which he bought from Martin Goldsmith of Aberdeen. The minister and friars, for the salvation of his soul and those of his wife, ancestors, and heirs, are required to find a suitable secular chaplain to celebrate divine service perpetually in the church of St Nicholas of Aberdeen at the high altar and pay each year to the lights of St Mary and Holy Cross in the said church, a half mark of sterling from the rents of the said lands. Furthermore, he obliges himself and his heirs to pay a penalty of 100 marks sterling to the fabric of the church of St Mary of Aberdeen if they infringe the conditions.
