Alexander 'Cabell' {Campbell?}, prebendary of Banchory-Devenick, founder of the altar of the Wounds of Jesus Christ and St Devenick, gave to a chaplain, celebrating divine service at the said altar, an annual rent of 10 li to be raised from the lands of Muircroft and a mortification with consent of Adam Hepburn, superior of the said lands, with the provision that, after Mass is celebrated at the said altar, the chaplain will sprinkle with holy water the tomb of the said Alexander, which is to be made near the said altar, while saying the psalm 'De Profundis'.
