James III confirms in mortmain a charter of the late Thomas, bishop of Aberdeen whereby he granted to God, Blessed Mary, our patron, and a chaplain celebrating, and to celebrate perpetually, divine service in Aberdeen cathedral at whatever altar seemed best to him and his successors for the souls of his parents, acquaintances, ancestors, successors and all benefactors, various annual rents. Mention is made of the river of the Holy Trinity commonly called 'the Trinity burn'. The charter is dated 2 February 1478.
