James III, king of Scots, confirms charter of the late Alexander Forbes, knight, previously confirmed by James II, whereby Alexander, for the salvation of his soul and that of Elizabeth Douglas, his wife, granted in pure and perpetual alms, to God and the Blessed Virgin Mary, and to a chaplain to celebrate divine service in the parish church of Forbes, an annual rent of 12 merks. The charter is dated 26 June 1436.
