Bishop Alexander mentions grant of David II, made by affection to God and the cathedral church of the Blessed Mary of Aberdeen, and dean and canons, of the right of patronage of the church of Logie-Buchan. He now grants the church to the common fund of the chapter and establishes a chaplainry, with a chaplain who is to celebrate Mass for the souls of King David, his ancestors and successors, kings of Scotland, and for the souls of himself and his predecessors and successors as bishops. The vicar and chaplain are to be paid annually at two terms of the year: at the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and at the feast of Pasche.
