Charter under Privy Seal narrating proclamation that ships should not sail to trade in the duke of Burgundy's land. Nevertheless, a ship of the town of 'Wer' in Zeeland, of which the master and skipper is called Neilball, was loaded with merchandice and goods of St Nicholas of Aberdeen, and other lieges, before the making of the proclamation. This ship is given licence to sail.

James, be the grace of God King of Scottis, till all and sindrie our officiaris, liegis, and subditis quhome it efferis, quhais knawledge thir our letres sal cum, greting: Forsamekil as our vthyr letres war direkit obefor be aviss and deliuerance of the lordis of our counsale, chargeing, for certan resonable caussis concerning the gude of merchandice, and comon wel of oure realme, that nay schipis suld pass nor saile in merchandice furtht of our realme, in ony pairt within the Duk of Burgundyeis land, for ane certan tyme to cum, lik as oure vther letres and proclamacioun maid tharapon proportis. Neuertheless, becauss we knaw that ane schip of the toune of Wer in Zeland, the maister and skipper thairof callit Neilball, was ladyne and chargit with merchandice and gudis of St. Nicholess of Abirdene, and vytheris oure lieges, befor the making of the said proclamacioun, and wes redy to hef depertit {. . .}
