dedication text (summary) dedication text (verbatim)The said day David Mar and Gilbert Menzies, elder, granted they had received from Gilbert Collison 18 brass candlesticks which stood on the long chandelier in the choir of St Nicholas parish church; two great candlesticks of St Nicholas' high altar with the sacrament candlestick; the great brass candlestick with the three flowers; a pillar of brass with the Images and three cat's eye stones; Item, a brass ewer, 6 iron candlesticks with brass bases of the middle lectern; so many ewers and 'throthis' of brass as were not stolen; and the brass water vat.
