On that day there came to the bar Alexander Shearer, chaplain of the altar of St Mary situated in the parish church of St Nicholas of Aberdeen and John Alanson, tutor of the altar of the Holy Cross situated in the said church and protested on behalf of an annual rent of 5 s owed to the said altar of St Mary and for an annual rent of 5 s owed to the said altar of the Holy Cross annually from a certain land lying within the said burgh on the Castlegate.
