Sir Andrew Gray, perpetual chaplain of the altar of St Michael the archangel within the church of St Nicholas of Aberdeen, grants to the curate and chaplains of the college of the parish church of St Nicholas an annual rent of 13 s 4 d from three crofts, the 'lang rigs', belonging to John Collison, and an annual rent of 6 s 8 d from another croft of John Collison's, the 'lochfield'. In return they are to celebrate, for the souls of the granter and his parents, Robert Gray and Elene, his spouse, a Mass of the Name of Jesus our Saviour, and yearly after the granter's decease on the day of his death, obsequies, viz: Placebo and Dirige and a requiem Mass.
