To all who shall see or hear this charter, the curate and chaplains of the choir of the collegiate church of St Nicholas of Aberdeen wish eternal health in the Lord. Know that we with unanimous consent and assent, being met in chapter for the purpose following, our advantage in the matter and that of our successors being on all sides pondered and diligently considered, for the evident augmentation of our rental, and for a certain sum of money paid us in numbered coin by a farseeing man, Andrew Buck, burgess of Aberdeen - a sum that has been fully and entirely paid and has been wholly converted and applied to our lawful and necessary uses, have assigned [. . .] and let in perpetual feu and heirship to the foresaid Andrew Buck and Matilda Menzies, his wife, [. . .] all and whole our fishing of half a net of the Fords upon the Water of Dee with its profits and pertinents according to use and wont [. . .] The foresaid Andrew and Matilda, their heirs and assigns, paying to us and our successors, or collectors for the time being, the sum of 9 li 13 s 4 d Scots as the old rent, and 6 s 8 d in augmentation of our yearly rent, being more than ever we or our predecessors got from those fishings, amounting in all to the sum of 10 li [. . .]
