To all who shall see or hear this charter, sir David Waus, perpetual chaplain of the chaplainry or altar of St Peter the apostle within the parish church of St Nicholas of Aberdeen wishes eternal health in the Lord. Know that I, [. . .] have given [. . ] and let in feu [. . .] to an honourable man, Master Thomas Menzies, burgess of the said burgh, his heirs and assigns whomsoever, all and whole that tenement belonging to my said chaplainry, viz: the land outer and inner, and the garden thereof, lying within the said burgh, in the Castle Street [. . .] In return paying to me and my successors annually the sum of 9 merks Scots
