Andrew Gray lord of Fowlis and John Scrimgeour, constable of Dundee, for the glory and honour of almighty God, the Blessed Virgin Mary his mother, St Anthony the abbot and all the saints of the heavenly court, grant to the canons of the order of St Augustine and their successors in the church of St Anthony near Dundee next to St Mary's well, for the salvation of our souls, the souls of our parents, wives, ancestors, successors and of all the faithful departed, 8 acres of land with pertinents called the Weldalis, lying near the north side of St Mary's well between the royal way called the Murray gate to the east on one side and the tendalidale which is held from me the foresaid constable to the west [. . .]. The canons and their successors are to celebrate a daily Mass for the foresaid souls. Moreover 6 sufficient readers will serve the hospital according to the way in the kingdom in a certain hospital within 7 years after the present date.
