Alexander, king of Scots grants to God and the monastery of St Margaret the queen, of Dunfermline, and the monks serving God there the land of 'beth Waldef' which John of Strathauchin resigned on the nearest Saturday after the feast of St Dunstan the archbishop in May 1278 at Edinburgh Castle in the royal chamber known as the chamber of St Margaret the queen.
