John of Strathauchin, son and heir of the late lord Ranulph de Strathauchin, knight, makes known that on the nearest Saturday after the feast of St Dunstan, archbishop, in the month of May in 1278, he resigned his land of 'Beth Waldef' with all its men and cottars, at Edinburgh castle.
