Transumpt of obligation (under the seal of the official of Aberdeen) of Adam Hepburn of 'Craggis' holder of the lands of Muircroft, to Alexander 'Cabell' {Campbell?}, rector of Banchory-Devenick, of which the tenor follows: Adam Hepburn obliged himself and his heirs to Alexander 'Cabell', parson of Banchory-Devenick that forasmuch as the said Alexander had resigned the half land of Muircroft, the foresaid Adam or his heirs should deliver a mortification of 10 li of annual rent to a chaplainry founded at St Devenick's altar in Aberdeen cathedral and should present none to it except one who pleases Alexander.
