- Be it known to all men by these present letters that we, Provost, bailies, council and community of the burgh of Aberdeen [. . .] have assigned [. . .] to our trusted orators, the curate and chaplains of our parish kirk of the said burgh, 8 merks Scots, of the rents and dues of our Justice Mills of the said burgh, [. . .] to be raised from the same for twelve years, because we rest their debtors to the extent of 16 li Scots, for the upholding and singing of the Mass of the Sacrament called the Holy Blood Mass every Monday for certain years bypast. And the said 12 years being complete and running, we grant a gift to our said chaplains of 6 merks of rent and dues from our said mills continually and perpetually for the upholding of the said Mass [. . .] 8 merks to be held for 8 years and then 6 merks yearly.
