notes
The Bannatyne Miscellany II contains a copy of the 'Quair of Jelousy' on pages 163-84. The editor notes in an introduction (pages 161-2) that it comes from the Seldon Manuscript. The editor also states that this manuscipt, containing various poems including the 'Kingis Quair' and the 'Quair of Jelousy', was written subsequent to the birth of James IV as inferred from a note concerning this (and containing saint's dedication) written in a similar hand with the rest of the MS.
