The King has confirmed, in mortmain, a charter of his servant, Walter Chapman of Overland, burgess of Edinburgh, bby which [...] he granted in pure alms, for the up-keep of one secular chaplain at the altar of Jesus Christ Crucified, within the chapel of the same, in the lower part of the churchyard of the collegiate church of Blessed Giles, Edinburgh, recently built with his income, --- his holding with its dwellings, buildings, garden and well, in the south street, the Cowgate, of the burgh of Edinburgh, near the said chapel
