Thomas, by the grace of God, Abbot of Lindores, grants at fee-farm to Laurence de Montealto, clerk, 'our whole entire toft in the town of Dundee, which lies next the land of the vicar of that town, which the same vicar has near the church of St Clement the Martyr, in the western part.

Omnibvs christi fidelibus presens scriptum visuris uel audituris Thomas dei gracia abbas de Lundors et eiusdem loci conuentus, eternam in domino salutem. Nouerit vniuersitas uestra nos vnanimi consensu et uoluntate dimisisse ad feodam-firmam Laurencio de monte alto clerico totum toftum nostrum integrum in uilla de Dunde quod iacet proximum terre uicarij eiusdem uille, quam habet idem uicarius iuxta ecclesiam sancti Clementis martiris in parte occidentali [. . .]
