Know that with the agreement and approval of my lord and reverend father in Christ, George, bishop of Brechin and Chancellor of Scotland, and of the Dean and Chapter, I have freely granted, to the praise and glory of God Almighty and Blessed Mary the Virgin, and of Blessed Christopher the martyr as well as all the heavenly court of saints, to God, and to one chaplain celebrating mass at the altar of Saint Christopher the martyr in the cathedral church of Brechin, and to his successors . . . in pure and everlasting alms, whole and entire, my tenement with what belongs to it lying on the east side of the common street of the town of Brechin
