Letter of licence by Robert, Commendator of Holyrood, to the Shoemakers of the Canongate, following upon the petition by Andrew Purves, deacon and kirkmaster on behalf of the craft. It provides for the building of an altar in the Abbey to SS. Crispian and Crispinian. Dated 24 August 1554.
