In the name of the Holy and Undivided Trinity, I David by the grace of God King of Scots, by royal authority and power, with the agreement of my son Henry and Queen Matilda my wife, with the confirmation and witness of the bishops, earls, and barons of my kingdom, with the assent of the clergy and people also, grant and confirm in perpetual peace to the church of the Holy Trinity of Dunfermline, founded by the pious intention and generosity of my predecessors, all the things written below.

IN nomine sancte et individue Trinitatis, Ego [D]avid dei gratia Rex Scott', auctoritate regia ac potestate, Henrici filii mei assensu et Matildis Regine uxoris mee, episcoporum, comitum, baronumque regni mei confirmacione et testimonio, clero etiam adquiescente et populo, ecclesie Sancte Trinitatis Dunfermelitane predecessorum meorum pietatis studio et largicionis iniciate omnia subscripta concedo et pace perpetua confirmo.
