Richard de Leicester, burgess of Perth, grants to the church of Holy Trinity and St Michael of Scone, and the canons serving God there, for the salvation of his own soul, various lands in Perth. He will retain these lands during his lifetime and give annually to God and the foresaid canons, 6 d on the feast of the Holy Trinity. After his death the canons will gain possession of the lands.

Omnibus hoc scriptum visuris vel audituris Ricardus de Laycestir burgensis de Perth Salutem Sciatis me dedisse concessisse et hac carta mea confirmasse ecclesie sancte trinitatis et sancti Michaelis de Scona et canonicis ibidem Deo seruientibus et seruituris in perpetuam elemosinam {. . .} Istas autem terras michi retineo in vita mea dabo autem annuatim Deo et predictis canonicis in festo sancte trinitatis sex denarios Post mortem autem meam canonici prefatas terras perpetuo habeant et possideant {. . .}
