John Anderson, son and heir of the late John Anderson, burgess of the burgh of Aberdeen, has sold to the curate and chaplains of the college of the parish church of St Nicholas of Aberdeen an annual rent of 22 s from his land lying in the Chequer Row between the land of the altar of St Sebastian on the east and the land of the late Gilbert Morrison on the west. The foresaid chaplains and their successors are to celebrate annually any Monday of any week at the altar of St Andrew the apostle, within the foresaid parish church, a requiem Mass for the soul of the late John earl of Mar and Garioch, and, after the decease of Master Simon Dods, rector of Invernochtie, for the souls of the said rector, earl, his own parents, benefactors, and all the faithful departed, they are to celebrate annually a requiem Mass with music on the nearest Sunday after the death of the said rector.
