dedication text (summary) dedication text (verbatim)Duncan Clat, burgess of Aberdeen, obliges his heirs and assignays the land in which he now dwells in the Guestrow and all his other lands, possessions and annual rents to pay yearly that annual of 10 merks owed from his land of 'Daynardigavylle' on the east side of the Gallowgait to an altar of St John the Baptist which is to be founded in the cathedral church of Aberdeen and to the chaplain of it.
