The provost, bailies, council and community consent to make a general commission and procuratory of the best and worthiest burgesses to pursue and defend the right of the presentation and patronage of the Magdalene altar of Aberdeen, debatable between them and the president and chapter of Aberdeen {College}.

The said day the provost bailzeis counsaile and communite of the said burgh warnit be the officiaris throue the haill towun gatherit and circualie inquerit be Normond Lesly ane of the officiaris of the said burgh consentit to mak ane generale commissioun and procuratory of the best and worthiast burgesses . . . to pass persew follow and defend the rycht of the presentacioun and patronag of the Magdalene alter of Aberdene debatabill betuix thame and the president and chaptor of Aberdene to treit and compone the said matter as thai think maist expedient one ane amicabill wise for vnce and concord till indur and preseuer betuix thame and the said chaptor as it has bene all tymes bigane and ordanit the said commissioun to be maid vnder thair commone seile and selit with the samyn in dew form as efferis for finall gud of the said mater.
