On that day sir William Ross, procurator and chaplain of the altar of St Laurence in the parish church of Aberdeen, coming to the bar, sought three processes of three head courts to be read by the common clerk anent a claim to a waste land in default of payment of an annual rent of 2 merks owed to the said altar and not paid for a long time.

Item eodem die dominus Wellelmus Rouss procurator et capellanus altaris beati laurencii in ecclesia parochiali burgi de Aberdene accedens ad barram petiit tres processus trium curiarum capitalium per communem clericum perlegi quibus alta et intelligibile voce perlectis petiit a balliuis iuris et iusticie complementum et iudicium dari fecerit quod herede debet proprietatem et possessionem vnius terre vaste Jacentis in vico botharis dicti burgi {. . .} in defectu solutionis duarum mercarum annui redditus predicto altari debiti et a longo tempore non soluti {. . .}
